wonderfully impressive day out photographing sea eagles from a small boat. here you can see the eagle about to take a fish out the water. huge birds with a piercing stare.
to give a sense of scale they have about a 3m wingspan and their talons are about the size of a human hand.. much bigger than Donald Trumps tiny girl hands that's for sure.just look closer
i spent an afternoon in the garden looking under pots and stones for bigs and spiders to try my new macro lens.. this fella was the star of the day even if he was a bit skittish and camera shy. I think he's just considered to be a house spider, but incredible fleur de lys markings and a lovely hairy face to photograph.
this also needed a bit of a focus stacking, I think i took four images in very quick succession as a rolled the focus.the farmer doesn't mind
on my way to work in the bristol office I would often drive through a valley simply teaming with pheasants.. but despite being stupid they are also quite skittish... so it took a while to get a photo I actually liked of one.
this was taken with a 400mm 2.8 and captures the scenes I see many mornings on my drive to and from home.
